Yesterday Dan arrived at Manas Air Base in Kyrgzstan. He's there until tomorrow when he'll head down to Kandahar and find out his next station. I say tomorrow but really mean today since he's now 14 hours ahead of us. It's so odd to have him eating breakfast while we're getting ready for dinner. But he appears to be in good spirits as evidenced by this picture and our Facetime date this afternoon.
In other news...I took two children to a birthday party today at Chuck E. Cheese. By myself. Pandemonium. Then, because apparently I hadn't punished myself enough, we stopped at Trader Joe's and the park. Now, I am counting down the seconds until 5:00 so I can break out my glass of wine. 5..4..3..2..later!
